In The Studio: Tyanna Buie

Elusive and rarely spotted in the daytime, printmaker Tyanna Buie has been burning the midnight oil during her artist’s residency at Women’s Studio Workshop. Toiling through the night she has created an entire gallery’s worth of large scale silkscreen monoprints for her upcoming exhibition Visiting Hours at the Dittmar Memorial Gallery at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. We were lucky to catch her in the studio during daylight hours for a few photographs before her prints were packed up and sent out to Chicago. The show will run from June 13th through August 9th, so be sure to stop in if you are in the neighborhood.
